1. Jakubi - Nobody Better (pop, R&B, hip-hop, rock and soul - from their own website) - LINK
2. Chase Atlantic - Drugs & Money (alt R&B, alt pop) - LINK
Chase has been one of my favourite bands for the past few years. I've gone to concerts only because they were opening and didn't even stay for the headliner show. The production on their tunes is crazy good for them doing it on their own. I think they use vocal effects very tastefully on most of their tracks. The saxophone use is also very much appreciated. My main criticism is sometimes they overdo the autotune and the lyrics can be cringey, but if you read the "MUSIC" page, quality lyrics don't exactly improve my music listening experience.
3. Chase Atlantic - Into It (alt R&B, alt pop, jazz) - LINK
This was the first song that sold me onto them.
4. Chase Atlantic - HEAVEN AND BACK (synthpop, alt R&B, pop, jazz) - LINK
First thing you will notice is the 80's influence. Love the melody, very catchy tune.
5. Chase Atlantic - WHAT U CALL THAT (alt R&B, alt pop) - LINK
Another catchy tune.
6. nothing, nowhere. - nightmare (emo, rock, rap) - LINK
One of his more upbeat songs. Heavy 80's influence.
7. nothing, nowhere. - vacanter (emo, rap) - LINK
Something about this tune makes me able to listen to it on repeat for a long time.
8. nothing, nowhere. - nevermore (emo, rap, alt rock ballad) - LINK
9. nothing, nowhere. x Travis Barker - destruction (emo, rap, rock) - LINK
The collab with Travis was a match made in heaven. Catchy chorus.
10. nothing, nowhere. x Travis Barker - true love (emo, rap) - LINK
I LOVE the intro to this one. Straight up reminds me of The Cure. Overall less catchy than "destruction" but still a very good song.
11. Sleep Token - Granite (indie pop, progressive/alt metal) - LINK
Immediately fell in love with this song and sold me on the band. Starts off as a ballad then goes hard.
12. Sleep Token - The Summoning (progressive, death, post-metal, funk) - LINK
I had a hard time figuring out what genres to put for this one. It's ambient and heavy at the same time while being super melodic. The end is groovy as hell.
13. Thank You Scientist - Feed the Horses (progressive rock, funk, jazz) - LINK
I found this song thru a song recommendation on Reddit when their debut album came out and subsequently lost and found the song multiple times. It's always worth a listen when I re-visit it. Vocalist is very similar to Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria.
14. Global AzN - Overdrive (alt R&B, alt pop) - LINK
Found him through his collabs with Global Dan. Very melodic. His voice is very pleasing to listen to.
15. Rayless - satellites (alt R&B, emo rap) - LINK
Chill and calming, like the electronic elements.
